Commtact Ltd. based in Yavne, Israel, has signed amulti-year, multi-million dollar exclusive market agreement with the American based company, Accelerated Media Technologies Inc. of Auburn MA, to supply MOST (Mobile Satellite Terminal) systems to the US broadcast industry.

The MOST system provides a broad band communication link between a moving vehicle and a geo-stationary satellite. The system supports Ku or Ka bands with an uplink rate of up to 2 MB and a downlink rate of up to 8 MB. Its unique low profile design minimizes drag and maintains vehicle efficiency. Connected by only a single cable the MOST is easy to install on virtually any given vehicle.

Accelerated Media Technologies Inc.  is a premier supplier of COTM (Comms on the Move) and IP centric mobile platforms to the commercial broadcast, DHS, CPB and other government entities.  It is comprised of a team of industry professionals; each  with 25+ years of news gathering, satellite communications, law enforcement and mobile truck experience.

Thomas P. Jennings, President of Accelerated Media Technologies: “It is our mission to implement the cutting edge Commtact technology as part of an overall strategic plan to usher in a new age of fully automated, bandwidth efficient news gathering platforms.  In a time where commercial broadcasters are facing unprecedented financial pressures, the Commtact solutionchanges the dynamics of news acquisition and holds the unique potential to increase coverage capabilities while significantly reducing the costs associated with expensive and complex mobile platforms and transponder space.  The future of news gathering is here!

During the Satellite 2010 exhibition, which takes place between the 16th to the 18th of March, in Washington DC, live demonstrations of the MOST system are being conducted.
